finally got the pics ive been wanting frm ziyang...
2 weeks plus of waiting...

40km journey around penang
whole big bunch of scouts walking around penang, haha
even though we were divided into 5 patrols, eventally we all joined up as 1

met up at jeti 1st, den went to the hainan restaurant somewhere nearby...
got the map n directions from the tester...turned out that all our routes were the same, so 1 guy finished all the bearings, n we copied all the rest

though we still had to stop by any balai bomba n balai police to get their chop n siganture...
so our checkpoints were

starting point - hainan restaurant
1st checkpoint - penang chinese swimming club
2nd checkpoint - water catchment area
3rd checkpoint - guardhouse at teh bottom of penang hill
4th checkpoint - indian temple at the top of penang hill (overnite)
ending checkpoint - little sisters

my patrol started out last zz
used the most straightforward route we knew, straight beeline for gurney n to csc MOMO eujo u nampak tak? hahalit chen's love lane

met up wit ee teng's n woei loon's group at bagan jermal balai bomba
wth i tot we were the slowest, though we turned out to b third
pressed on to csc n stopped by another balai polis, n stopped to do our assignments at csc b4 continuingat csc. notice the 2 dome tents im carrying?
frm tat time onwards, the 3 patrols combined to be 1 (sounds like merging of factions in a war game ==)
went through the very VERY long way to the water catchment area
there was a shortcut we could use but i missed it, partially due to me lagging behind n a blurred sense of direction wad do u tink le? me carrying 2 dome tents u noe, plus had a slight leg injury...
finally reached there n surprise! lit chen's patrol reached there 1st, us the force-of-3 patrol 2nd, n jin xin's last
rested n regrouped there at water catchment area

so, all of us joined together n combined again (another case of merging factions ==²)
went to botanical gardens
rained a bit on the way there, bt it cleared soon enough phew!!! met our tester while at the cemeteries n got his signature b4 resuming our journey
reached the guardhouse n rested there a bit
some of them who reached earlier were having coconut water at the stalls there

our patrol went up last n jo yi gt leg cramps i hate ppl cramping, they drag us down
managed to get him to hitchhike a truck up to the top bt i 4gt to dump my rucksack onto the truck as well. argh...nw i hve to carry it up penang hill... i was last tat time btw snake

got to 42 n saw abt one-thirdth of our ppl there turns out more ppl hitchhiked the same truck...refilled my water supply n resumed walking up
got to 84 n we decided to use the 'other' route up

got an uncle who was willing to show us the way up. wei damn nice la he
the route we took was wayyyyy far more exciting den using the normal tar road. man, who says late ppl get to miss evrything? c the goddamn difference btween it n a tar road?

almost reached the top when it rained
ran for shelter even though we were oni abt 50m frm where the other 'earlybirds' were zz
thanked that uncle n went to eat lunch
dropped my phone after changing clothes...good thing it had a case...bt nw the case gone-case d...
had 红豆冰 b4 fried rice...chilly hot combo

played at the playground up there, reminds me of our childhood...
approached mr.anurasalem (srry if i gt it wrong, paiseh ar...) n got permission to sleep in the hall beside the indian temple
damnit nw the dome tents we brought were practically useless...n to imagine i carried 2 of them TILL the bottom of penang hill...HAIH
went out kia kia the whole place. nola actually jz went a pondok n sat thr, crapped lik siao baru went back to hve dinnerdnno hw i captured tis effect zz

went outside cho siao in front of the bkt bendera wording baru went back to same pondok to resume crappinganimal porn xD siao lalas boo ada hantu mia haha

even if we missed out one small road or the road name in our rough logs, he knew all of them! nt to mention even correcting a mistakenly drawn road zz

changed back into my stinking n still-wet uniform n took pics wit mr. anurasalem (again srry if wrong ar...) den started going down sunriseour distanced relatives

used the tar road till 84, den we used yet another route tat took us straight down to air itam, instead of botanical gardens. neat eh xD

went straight to litle sisters as it was our last checkpoint
had another stroke of luck when the sister there sister lucy i tink told us we dunid to do service work thr, n she would giv us the chop n all. 4gt to mention, we also skipped service on top of penang hill due to the temple ppl nt knowng wad to let us do X)
went cs2 for dota after changing back into 3rd u
